Arlington, Va.,-based? OPOWER, a developer of energy efficiency and smartgrid software, has closed a $50 million round of financing co-led by Accel Partners and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.

SunRun, a  San Francisco-based leaser of solar PV panels for residential customers, has secured $55 million as part of a Series C funding led by Sequoia Capital.
