Exclusive: Wind Developer Close To Securing Financing For 22 MW Idaho Project

A California developer expects to close financing on a roughly $27 million wind project in Idaho at the end of the month.

Tracy, Calif.-based Pacific Winds expects to close debt financing supporting the construction of its 22 megawatts Sawtooth wind farm in Idaho’s Elmore County at the end of the month, company founder  Rick Koebbe tells G.E.R.

Koebbe says Pacific Winds plans to launch construction next month to start commercial operation early next year. He declined to provide details on the debt financing such as pricing and tenor or the name of the bank arranging the debt.

Idaho Power has a 20-year power purchase agreement with the Sawtooth facility.

Pacific Winds’s parent company, PowerWorks, owns and operates 95 megawatts of wind and solar farms and has a 1,500-megawatt project pipeline.
